Ghibli time!

Between last night and today we watched three movies from Studio Ghibli to practice Japanese:

  • 思い出のマーニー, 2014 (romaji: Omoide no Mānī)
Translated as “Memories of Marnie” or “When Marnie was there”
  • ハウルの動く城, 2004 (romaji: Hauru no Ugoku Shiro)
    Translated as “Howl’s moving castle”
  • 火垂るの墓, 1988 (romaji: Hotaru no haka)
Translated as “Grave of the fireflies”

The last one was the saddest of all… we could have started the other way around, but good that we are watching Eurovision Song Contest afterwards
