頑張りまあしょう!

Ganbaru means to persevere, to “hang in there”. Another common use is ganbare! It means something like:

  • “Go! Go! Go!”
  • “Do your best!”
  • “Don’t give up!”

頑張ってください (Ganbatte kudasai = polite)
頑張って (Ganbatte = casual)
=
Da lo mejor de ti

If somebody says any of these to you, you can say, はい、頑張ります! (Hai, ganbarimasu! = polite) or うん、頑張る!(Un, ganbaru! = casual) in response. Which means, “Yes, I’ll do my best!”
